Chaired by Club Services Co-Chairs Dee Brennan and Linda Nuzzo. Refreshments for monthly meetings rotate among active and new members.
Every Tuesday, September to December, the club supplies the Essex Library with a fresh arrangement — flowers, plants, or accessories with plant material. Deliver and remove arrangements on Tuesday; if material isn't hardy, check and refresh mid–week.
Members get an email reminder mid-month and a VSP reminder 5 days before their date. Can't cover your date? Arrange a substitute and let Julie O'Connor know at 860-384-0143 or jccgolden@icloud.com.
Members are encouraged to bring plant material from their gardens to display at business meetings, following the Horticulture Committee's monthly theme. Identify the botanical names on your entry — completed ID cards earn points toward the President's Award at the Annual Business Meeting.

The legal name of this organization is Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, Inc, Essex Garden Club, Inc. The “doing business as” (DBA) name of this organization shall be the Essex Garden Club, Inc.
To operate exclusively on a non-profit basis and solely for charitable and educational purposes; and to further the knowledge of gardening and artistic use of plant materials, to stimulate interest in civic beautification, to aid in the conservation of natural resources and to promote educational and charitable projects which emphasize conservation, ecology, and civic improvement.
The Club is a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, Inc. and adheres to their stated objectives, aims and purposes. Member use of either organization's name or logo requires Board approval, as does any Club commitment to a non-Club activity or project.
In accordance with Federated Garden Clubs, Inc. policy, the Essex Garden Club does not distribute member names to any outside organization.
